Oswaldo is a seasoned specialist on Maritime Operations Analysis with experience in the security, conservation and fisheries sectors. He has worked on the design and implementation of Maritime Control Surveillance systems and procedures in Central and South American countries as well as in the western Pacific region (Indonesia & Palau). Oswaldo focuses on supporting Global Fishing Watch efforts in Ecuador to strengthen cooperation with the Ecuadorian Navy, fisheries and environmental authorities and local fisheries sectors. Oswaldo is a graduate of the Ecuadorian Naval Academy and holds a MSc in Systems Engineering from the US Naval Postgraduate School, focused on marine surveillance sensors and a minor on Operations Research.
Oswaldo’s hobbies include diving and biking. He loves to travel to iconic sites of the world.
