As COO of Global Fishing Watch, Marine Laurent leads financial strategy and helps ensure the organization runs on a steady keel while achieving its strategic goals. With more than 20 years of operational finance, human resources and project management experience, Laurent brings a strong expertise in overseeing complete operational processes, including financial and management reporting, structuring operations in multinational environments and strategic business planning.
Prior to joining Global Fishing Watch, Laurent served as chief operating officer of Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, a global clinical research standards development organization. She also served as chief financial officer of Alter Eco, a French organic and fair trade food distributor.
Laurent holds a master’s degree in management from HEC, Paris, as well as a bachelor of law from the University of Paris—XI and a master’s degree in geopolitics from Sorbonne University.
