Raúl Requero is an automation, data and back-end engineer at Global Fishing Watch, where he develops and improves the application programming interfaces (APIs) and automation process surrounding data management. He also works to implement the latest DevOps technologies and improve the security of the organization’s systems.
Raul has more than 12 years of experience working on front-end, back-end and DevOps. In the last few years, he has been developing an API to aggregate data from different sources for Global Forest Watch and Resource Watch, among other projects. Raul holds a computer science degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. He loves mountain biking and wilderness hiking.
