Ko-Jung Lo leads the development and implementation of Global Fishing Watch’s programmatic work in Asia, working collaboratively with an international team to design and carry out projects that leverage open data for improved fisheries management. Engaging a diverse set of stakeholders that span the private and public sector as well as civil society, Lo seeks to support the adoption of open data solutions and build capacity to adequately support them.

Before joining Global Fishing Watch, Lo was project lead at Greenpeace East Asia. where she oversaw organizational development and served as the first staff member of the Taipei office. Between 2015 and 2019, she successfully led multiple local and regional Greenpeace projects focused on reducing plastic waste, tackling overconsumption and advocating for sustainable energy initiatives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in climate change and sustainable development from National Taiwan University.
