Krizia supports Global Fishing Watch’s international policy efforts, promoting the value of transparent and open data across global fisheries. Working closely with governments, Krizia seeks to explore opportunities where stakeholders can use this valuable information in the development of national and international policies.
Before coming to Global Fishing Watch, Krizia served as an advisor to Panama’s Minister of Commerce and Industry and also spent several years representing Panama at the World Trade Organization where she led negotiations on an agreement to end harmful fishing subsidies. Â
Krizia earned a bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Panama and her master’s degree in commercial law from Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua in Panama. She went on to receive a master’s degree in international public law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. In her spare time, Krizia enjoys competing in triathlons, which combine her love for the ocean and sports.
