Jo Arda

Josephine Arda brings administrative expertise to the operations team, which works to achieve the organization’s strategic goals.

Prior to joining Global Fishing Watch, Josephine worked at the International Maritime Organization on a project improving energy efficiency in the maritime sector. She also worked as an administrative and finance assistant for different NGOs focused on the environment and children’s human rights. She holds a master’s degree in international cooperation and development from Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and a bachelor’s degree in languages. Josephine grew up in Italy, spending time with her family in Turkey and moving to different countries in Europe. In her free time, she loves hiking, and practicing and teaching yoga.
