Transparency Program Manager
Global Fishing Watch is recruiting to fully staff a program of work to improve transparency in fishing vessel operations and build a sustainable future for our oceans. The Transparency Program Manager will play a key part in the delivery of this vision, working closely with the Program Director and regional leads on management of projects, contractors and the cultivation of external partners.
As a core team member, the manager will help track progress with government partners and supervise contracts with attention to detail. The manager will also coordinate research on the policy landscape and conduct interviews. They will support country representatives at external meetings as needed. The successful candidate will be able to articulate convincing narratives to improve transparency in fisheries across varied cultural and political contexts.
Our team primarily works remotely, with hubs in London, Buenos Aires, Lima, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Jakarta. Flexible working hours to accommodate calls across time zones is essential. There will be international travel, occasionally on short notice.
