Brian’s work at Global Fishing Watch aims to illuminate dark fleets across the oceans with remote sensing. In particular, he leverages global radar imagery to create new data products for the team and research partners. Brian recently graduated from Duke University where he earned a Master of Environmental Management degree with a concentration in Water Resources Management and a Certificate of Geospatial Analysis. He also holds a BBA in Accounting and Social Justice Studies. Brian works from Duke’s Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab in Durham, NC where he enjoys playing tennis, finding his next favorite band, and planning future SmallSat launch parties.
