Our work replaces maritime opacity with transparency, ensuring that activity over the horizon is no longer "out of sight, out of mind." En Global Fishing Watch, ofrecemos datos de acceso abierto y herramientas analíticas que permiten visualizar la actividad humana en el mar para promover una gestión justa y sostenible del océano mundial. Al transformar grandes volúmenes de información satelital en conocimiento útil, ponemos a disposición de todos mapas interactivos gratuitos que ofrecen una visión detallada de la pesca comercial y las actividades en alta mar. Este seguimiento de embarcaciones tanto industriales como de pequeña escala mejora nuestra comprensión del uso de los recursos marinos y contribuye a proteger la biodiversidad de la que depende la humanidad.
Creemos que la salud del océano es una responsabilidad compartida; sin embargo, el mar sigue siendo una de las partes menos observadas de nuestro planeta.
