Du 9 au 13 juin 2025, la troisi\u00e8me Conf\u00e9rence des Nations Unies sur l\u2019Oc\u00e9an (UNOC3), coorganis\u00e9e par les gouvernements de la France et du Costa Rica, s\u2019est tenue \u00e0 Nice, en France. Cette ann\u00e9e, le th\u00e8me de la conf\u00e9rence \u00e9tait : \u00ab Acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l\u2019action et mobiliser tous les acteurs pour conserver et utiliser durablement l\u2019oc\u00e9an \u00bb.<\/span><\/p>

Global Fishing Watch \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 Nice, dans le cadre des efforts internationaux visant \u00e0 renforcer la mise en \u0153uvre de<\/span> l\u2019Objectif de D\u00e9veloppement Durable (ODD) 14 (Vie aquatique) <\/span><\/a>et \u00e0 faire avancer l\u2019objectif crucial du 30\u00d730 : prot\u00e9ger 30 % de l\u2019oc\u00e9an d’ici \u00e0 2030. Notre d\u00e9l\u00e9gation a \u00e9t\u00e9 active tout au long de la conf\u00e9rence, en organisant et en participant \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements ax\u00e9s sur la transparence, les solutions fond\u00e9es sur les donn\u00e9es et la gestion durable des ressources marines.<\/span><\/p>

En amont de la conf\u00e9rence principale, s\u2019est tenu \u00e0 Nice le <\/span>One Ocean Science Congress<\/span><\/a>, du 4 au 6 juin. David Kroodsma, directeur scientifique de Global Fishing Watch, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 les avanc\u00e9es des technologies de suivi des navires, en particulier l\u2019AIS. Il a montr\u00e9 comment ces outils peuvent contribuer \u00e0 la protection de l\u2019oc\u00e9an, renforcer les contr\u00f4les et orienter les politiques fond\u00e9es sur des donn\u00e9es fiables.<\/span><\/p>

Global Fishing Watch a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la promotion de la transparence comme pilier fondamental de la gouvernance de l\u2019oc\u00e9an et de la protection de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me marin tout au long de l\u2019UNOC3. Pendant cinq jours de tables rondes, d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements parall\u00e8les et d\u2019annonces au niveau international, nous avons d\u00e9montr\u00e9 comment la technologie, la transparence et les partenariats strat\u00e9giques nous rapprochent de l\u2019objectif 30×30. Notre d\u00e9l\u00e9gation est intervenue dans plus de 10 panels et sessions, et nous avons pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 notre plateforme innovante <\/span>Marine Manager<\/span><\/a> comme un exemple phare d\u2019outil fond\u00e9 sur les donn\u00e9es au service de la protection de la biodiversit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>

Lors de notre propre \u00e9v\u00e9nement, nous avons r\u00e9uni un panel de haut niveau avec des repr\u00e9sentants du gouvernement du Costa Rica, de l\u2019ICCAT, de la CGPM, de SOA, de HAC ainsi que de Bloomberg Philanthropies. Chez Global Fishing Watch, nous croyons que la transparence est essentielle \u00e0 la protection de l\u2019oc\u00e9an. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre technologie de pointe et \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation de donn\u00e9es en libre acc\u00e8s, nous contribuons \u00e0 b\u00e2tir un avenir o\u00f9 la protection marine est non seulement possible, mais aussi mesurable, applicable et \u00e9quitable. Les gouvernements ont pris des engagements importants pour la pr\u00e9servation de l\u2019oc\u00e9an. Ceux-ci vont de la lutte contre la p\u00eache ill\u00e9gale, non d\u00e9clar\u00e9e et non r\u00e9glement\u00e9e (INN) et les pratiques destructrices, \u00e0 la protection de la biodiversit\u00e9 et au soutien de la p\u00eache artisanale. Pour la premi\u00e8re fois, Global Fishing Watch a influenc\u00e9 directement le langage d\u2019un document final de l\u2019UNOC, avec la reconnaissance formelle de la transparence et des donn\u00e9es marines fiables comme \u00e9l\u00e9ments essentiels \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation des objectifs mondiaux pour l\u2019oc\u00e9an.<\/span> Le Plan d\u2019action pour l\u2019oc\u00e9an de Nice<\/span><\/a> mentionne explicitement le r\u00f4le de la transparence et de la technologie pour mettre fin \u00e0 la p\u00eache ill\u00e9gale. Par ailleurs, lors de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00ab <\/span>No Safe Harbour<\/span><\/i> \u00bb organis\u00e9 par <\/span>Environmental Justice Foundation<\/span><\/i> (EJF), par l’interm\u00e9diaire de l’Autorit\u00e9 Panam\u00e9enne des Ressources Aquatiques (ARAP), le Panama a annonc\u00e9 son intention d\u2019exiger la d\u00e9claration des b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires effectifs de tous les navires internationaux. Plus de 20 nouvelles AMP ont \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9es, mais des efforts restent \u00e0 faire pour garantir que protection signifie protection r\u00e9elle. Si la France n\u2019a pas interdit le chalutage de fond dans ses zones prot\u00e9g\u00e9es, le Royaume-Uni a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 son intention de bannir cette pratique dans plus de 30 000 km\u00b2 \u2014 soit environ la moiti\u00e9 de ses AMP. Notamment, le Ghana s\u2019est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 interdire le chalutage de fond et d\u2019autres pratiques de p\u00eache industrielle dans l\u2019ensemble de ses eaux territoriales.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
