sostenible de los recursos oce\u00e1nicos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La alianza con IMARPE, la principal instituci\u00f3n de investigaci\u00f3n marina del Per\u00fa, busca reforzar la capacidad del pa\u00eds para monitorear la actividad humana en el mar, generar conocimiento t\u00e9cnico-cient\u00edfico que oriente una gesti\u00f3n pesquera sostenible y apoyar la toma de decisiones basadas en evidencia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El convenio contempla capacitaciones, estudios conjuntos y publicaciones cient\u00edficas coautoradas, con el fin de fortalecer las capacidades nacionales en monitoreo oce\u00e1nico y gobernanza pesquera.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEste acuerdo representa un paso m\u00e1s en el compromiso de Per\u00fa con la transparencia y la gesti\u00f3n sostenible del oc\u00e9ano,\u201d<\/span><b> afirm\u00f3 Josefina del Prado, oficial de pa\u00eds de Global Fishing Watch en Per\u00fa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \u201cTrabajando junto a IMARPE, buscamos profundizar el conocimiento sobre la din\u00e1mica pesquera e incorporar herramientas innovadoras que respalden la ciencia y la pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El convenio establece un marco formal para la investigaci\u00f3n colaborativa, el intercambio de conocimientos y el desarrollo de metodolog\u00edas para analizar datos de rastreo de embarcaciones \u2014como el <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/globalfishingwatch.org\/es\/faqs\/que-es-ais\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sistema de identificaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (AIS) y el <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/globalfishingwatch.org\/es\/faqs\/que-es-vms\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sistema de monitoreo de embarcaciones<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (VMS)\u2014 con miras a integrarlos en las estrategias nacionales de vigilancia pesquera.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El ecosistema marino del Per\u00fa, uno de los m\u00e1s productivos del mundo, enfrenta desaf\u00edos como la sobrepesca, el cambio clim\u00e1tico y la pesca ilegal, no declarada y no reglamentada (INDNR). A trav\u00e9s de esta alianza, IMARPE y Global Fishing Watch unir\u00e1n capacidades para abordar estos retos y promover el uso sostenible de los recursos marinos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEste acuerdo abre nuevas oportunidades, como las capacitaciones tecnol\u00f3gicas y el uso de informaci\u00f3n recolectada por nuestros observadores de Bit\u00e1coras de Pesca, que puede ser clave para refinar los algoritmos de Global Fishing Watch,\u201d<\/span><b> se\u00f1al\u00f3<\/b> <b>Luis Escudero, coordinador del \u00c1rea de Sensoramiento Remoto de IMARPE.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Per\u00fa ya ha demostrado liderazgo en transparencia marina.
