Desde un punto de vista de ingenier\u00eda, esto significa que tenemos que crear una herramienta completamente modular en la que cada componente debe ser vers\u00e1til y reutilizable.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recientemente actualizamos el marco que hace posible la visualizaci\u00f3n geoespacial en nuestra plataforma y ahora utilizamos <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/deck.gl\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">deck.gl<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, una biblioteca de c\u00f3digo abierto mantenida por la OpenJS Foundation que nos permite crear visualizaciones complejas de alta resoluci\u00f3n de manera eficiente. La versi\u00f3n anterior de nuestro mapa se basaba en MapLibreGL, otra gran biblioteca de c\u00f3digo abierto, pero nuestra ambici\u00f3n de ofrecer mejoras significativas en el rendimiento, capas de alta resoluci\u00f3n y desbloquear futuras funciones potenciales para brindar un mejor soporte a los administradores e investigadores dictaba la necesidad de una mayor modularidad en nuestro esquema.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dado que el mapa puede mostrar informaci\u00f3n de a\u00f1os anteriores y no solo de los \u00faltimos d\u00edas o meses, cargar datos de manera eficiente es una necesidad y uno de los mayores desaf\u00edos t\u00e9cnicos que enfrentamos. Para abordar esto, creamos nuestra propia infraestructura y formato de datos, que llamamos 4Wings, una combinaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas de c\u00f3digo abierto que renderiza miles de millones de puntos de datos con tiempos de respuesta r\u00e1pidos y admite filtrado din\u00e1mico y diferentes formas de interactuar con los datos. En el pasado, ten\u00edamos que mantener nuestra propia versi\u00f3n de la biblioteca MapLibreGL para admitir <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/globalfishingwatch.org\/es\/datos-y-tecnologia\/nuevo-mapa-monitoreo-analisis-oceanos\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4Wings<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pero deck.gl nos permite extender sus m\u00faltiples m\u00f3dulos con los nuestros, lo que proporciona un control m\u00e1s preciso de c\u00f3mo se ve y funciona el mapa.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una ventaja que nos brinda deck.gl es una mayor flexibilidad a la hora de generar visualizaciones para diferentes tipos de datos de actividad humana. Estos pueden ayudar a respaldar una amplia gama de casos de uso de investigaci\u00f3n y gobernanza oce\u00e1nica, como la gesti\u00f3n de \u00e1reas protegidas y el conocimiento del dominio mar\u00edtimo.
